In the wake of the provoked excessive destruction, the crew is in need of another lead in their investigation. Things are looking up as a mysterious character is spotted on a nearby rooftop. BTT WF 1.4: Commentary 1

This new world and new set of character gave us a lot to talk about for this first commentary of the campaign. We explain why we didn’t start with a full cast. However, we found out it was a great way to start because it created tension from the start, even though we all chose to play characters that were significant departures from characters in the previous campaign.

BTT WF 1.3: Seeing Red

The crew’s investigation into Vireo’s disappearance leads them to an “upscale” boutique shop, with a suspicious curator. At this point, the group isn’t going to leave any suspicion unchallenged, so things are bound to get uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. We’ll see if these characters can hold their own in the campaign’s first instance of combat.

On the resort planet of Signa 9, the party checks out a popular vacation spot of their crew-mate. But it appears that this trip was not a relaxing one for Vireo. Clues point to an altercation with a group that has a bit of an infamous reputation in the galaxy.

Since we are actually going to spend quite some time with these characters in a long-term campaign, we used the “soft tilt” to be sure that they were not utterly destroyed after another round of play of Fiasco. We really see the dynamics of the group start to take shape with some underlying conflicts that will certainly add to the adventures to come.

Round 1 around the table gave us some great establishing scenes, with some flashbacks, and the initial meetings of the crew members. Already, we are getting the flavors of tension that will surround a few of these characters. The dynamics are intriguing, so the story is sure to be compelling moving forward. Enjoy!
