We put a bow on this awesome adventure as we add our final commentary on the Angel’s Guard campaign. What a ride it has been! We discuss how much the characters have changed, some timeline theories, and even some possible “alternate endings”. It is sad but fitting that this episode is released today, as Jordan credits his inspiration for the final scenes of this story, Author and Grand Master Gene Wolfe, who’s recent passing will definitely be felt in the science fiction and fantasy community. We will keep on rolling and begin a band new adventure next time on Bone Throwers Theater.

The group fights their way into the “Oubliette of Aphonic Excurciation”. Once again, the magic of the Fae seems to be causing many problems yet again. Jorus decides to creatively investigate the phenomena with is own magic, leaving the rest of the group quite confused.

Check out this explosive episode of our Angel’s Guard campaign. For real, things really do blow up. The fire and ice lead to some unnatural destruction for the city of Dinium, and the bomb goes off for some interesting character development. None of the characters are quite aware of it yet, but the players are definitely shaken.

Greyson decides he wants to convince Benedict to go see if there are more people need rescuing at Parliament. He convinces Benedict quite well. When they get to that area, they notice a distinct lack of people. It seems that magical problems are becoming more dire…

It’s time for another commentary episode! A lot of things have happened over the last few episodes of play, keeping the players on edge. They discuss how the character behave in a way that they normally wouldn’t. He wonders if the magic had something to do with it.

Jordan talks about how he used a piece of art to inspire his note-taking for this session. Johnny wants to increase Jorus’s magic. Aaron wishes that Benedict had been in the catacombs. The players note how much their characters are out of their element.

Demetrius and Aderyn decide to go to the Undermarket, in search of weaponry made of cold iron. Demetrius sees a mural that has some historical significance. They’re able to strike a deal.

Jorus has become suspicious of Greyson’s abilities. He tries a little mind-reading. They go to visit Lord Cheddar, now the big cheese of the privy council. Benedict pronounces that the hand of God has whisked away Lord Liverich. The party proposes war against the Bae Van Shee.

Episode 20 of Angel’s Guard, everyone! How exciting!

In this episode, the party has to prevent the threat to the Archbishop and the Queen. Demetrius goes to save the dock master (and a clock). Brother Benedict raises the hue and cry. Grayson Digby makes a tragic discovery. Jorus goes to raise the alarm with the palace guards.

After a protracted recap session, the party interrogates their recently-captured prisoner. They learn of the international threads of the threat to the nation. The encounter reveals differences in methods amongst the party members.

And now it’s time for some more commentary! We talk about the characters’ motivations. We also talk about how Jorus, with his “get-the-job-done” attitude and mind-reading ability, influenced the group. Mike and Jeremy talk about how different TV characters influenced their initial character concepts. Jordan talks about how hard it is not to lead the characters. Jeremy mentions how hard it was to avoid meta-gaming.

Mike received a character point for advancing Valentine Montecute the most, particularly in his mentoring relationship with Brother Benedict. Johnny got the character point for best roleplaying. The introduction of Jorus caused a maturation of the group. Johnny got the point for best snack for bringing home-made jalapeño poppers.

And it wouldn’t be a bone throwers session without some bad, bad puns.

Previously, on Bone Thrower’s Theater, the party witnessed a horrific bargain between Lord Dyncham and Fae emissaries. They overheard that there was going to be activities at the docks, so they rush there to investigate.

When they arrive, the Angellan spymaster, Lord Walsham, is at the docks, too. He has a new associate, Jorus Glave. A lesser member of the royal family, Glave doesn’t immediately hit it off with the rest of the group…
