The Adventure begins with a mysterious fire. Jerr is on the scene and rescues a familiar face from the blaze. Julian is tipped off and starts an investigation, and Chime adjusts to his time off from work. Throughout the episode, little details are dropped about how dark things actually are in Consiglio.
After the prologue play, we give our first takes on each of our new characters, to include some entertainment cultural influences and comparisons. We also rehash the writing style of each of our previous campaigns (Terra Proximus and Angel’s Guard), and contemplate what of those elements we will incorporate into the main campaign adventure for Element of War!

Now we get to introduce the characters for the new campaign. Using one of our favorite methods for creating characters, the Campaign Mastercraft Method (The 3×3 Character), we share the characters’ backstories, beliefs, and goals — giving Jordan plenty of ammunition to create a bit of chaos for the players, and ultimately drive the story.
