Episode 20 of Angel’s Guard, everyone! How exciting!

In this episode, the party has to prevent the threat to the Archbishop and the Queen. Demetrius goes to save the dock master (and a clock). Brother Benedict raises the hue and cry. Grayson Digby makes a tragic discovery. Jorus goes to raise the alarm with the palace guards.

After a protracted recap session, the party interrogates their recently-captured prisoner. They learn of the international threads of the threat to the nation. The encounter reveals differences in methods amongst the party members.

And now it’s time for some more commentary! We talk about the characters’ motivations. We also talk about how Jorus, with his “get-the-job-done” attitude and mind-reading ability, influenced the group. Mike and Jeremy talk about how different TV characters influenced their initial character concepts. Jordan talks about how hard it is not to lead the characters. Jeremy mentions how hard it was to avoid meta-gaming.

Mike received a character point for advancing Valentine Montecute the most, particularly in his mentoring relationship with Brother Benedict. Johnny got the character point for best roleplaying. The introduction of Jorus caused a maturation of the group. Johnny got the point for best snack for bringing home-made jalapeño poppers.

And it wouldn’t be a bone throwers session without some bad, bad puns.

Previously, on Bone Thrower’s Theater, the party witnessed a horrific bargain between Lord Dyncham and Fae emissaries. They overheard that there was going to be activities at the docks, so they rush there to investigate.

When they arrive, the Angellan spymaster, Lord Walsham, is at the docks, too. He has a new associate, Jorus Glave. A lesser member of the royal family, Glave doesn’t immediately hit it off with the rest of the group…
